Are the Numbers “UP” for UK Bingo?

Now that the UK Government has made the statement that they are going to allow twice as many ₤500 jackpot gaming machines into UK Bingo halls, I wonder just when they are going to put their money where their mouth is? It is all very well saying that this is what they are going to do, but when will they actually promulgate this law and put it into practice. The time line for this could mean life or death for certain land based bingo halls and the Point Bingo in Skimped Lane is just one of many that is reeling in the wake of the external factors that are contributing to the loss of bingo halls in the UK.
The claim for fame of this bingo hall is that it is the Club that Barak Obama’s Stepmum visits daily. But Jason Bateup of Point Bingo says that the club is in terrible trouble at the moment. He has had to make two managers redundant and another four staff members who left, have not been replaced. He says that the industry was already suffering before the anomaly of removing lucrative slot machines even happened, and they are desperate for the Government to restore the status quo.
He said that they are presently keeping their heads above water, but one of the hardest things he ever had to do was let go of two really good bingo managers who had done nothing wrong. They are just victims of the state of the industry at the moment. I suppose this is all well and good for the online bingo industry, they are booming at the moment and further growth is expected. But not all people operate in the online bingo industry and this state of affairs it really sad.
