A Glasgow women recently became the first ever bingo millionaire. All thanks to Mecca Bingo. The forty six year old woman was playing a land based game at her local Mecca Bingo club in the Ruchazi area of Glasgow. Strangely enough not only had Mecca Bingo launched its millionaire jackpot just three weeks before, but the women who is a mother of two had actually lost her job, also just three weeks before her incredible win.

She was actually having a lunchtime game at her local land based Mecca Bingo club and was absolutely stunned when she realized what she had done, she said that her numbers had come in and she was just waiting for one number, she was at the bingo club with her mum and saw the 34 ball come in. She then realized that she just needed the one, she turned to her mum and said “I only need the number one” and then she stood up in front of everyone and shouted “I am waiting on number one!” As she said that her number one came out. She told Scotland Today that the entire bingo hall was in absolute uproar, everyone screaming and cheering, while she just stood there in complete shock.

The manager of the club said that her face was an absolute picture of shock; he couldn’t believe her stunned silence, with all of the crowd in the bingo hall going mad around her, everyone was really delighted that she had won.
