Bingo Prize Winner Could Not Believe Her Eyes

Mary Neil, a sixty-four year old pensioner could not believe her eyes! She had just opened a prize that she won at the bingo and upon removing the silver tray from a box; found that the gift was in fact one that her cousin had given to the bingo organizer more than eighteen years ago as a wedding present. She knew this because a card fell out of the box containing her cousin’s wedding message.

Mary of Lesmahagow in Lanarkshire won the tray as a bingo prize at a miner’s welfare club and immediately upon opening the prize, blasted the organizer, Joan Wardrop, at the same time calling her an ignorant b****. The tray was one of many bingo prizes that had been donated to raise funds and had been attended by her cousin Margaret who was in fact the giver of the wedding gift.

Mary said that she won a load of prizes at the bingo night that was organized to raise funds for an under – 13 football team that Joan’s son plays in, so apart from the huge faux pas with the silver tray, she actually did have a good time.
