Charity Fundraiser Launch by Gala Bingo

Gala Bingo is in the process of launching an eighteen month-long charity fundraiser for the Sue Ryder Care charity. It is their aim to raise as much as ₤1 million during this campaign and it will be run throughout all of their divisions. This includes Gala Bingo, Gala Casino, their International division and e-Commerce.  Both customers and employees will be engaged in this massive fund-raising drive.

Gala used an employee vote to select this very worthwhile charity, and apparently all employees who participated in the vote, chose the charity unanimously. Su Ryder Care provides much needed support to people with serious illnesses as well as their families.  They provide a lifeline for ill people and their families in the UK, twelve European countries and even in Southern Africa, where good health care is badly needed.

Neil Goulden, the Chief Executive Officer of the Gala Coral Group said that the company has a long history of raising funds for good causes. But now they had taken a slightly different tack and chosen one charity for everyone to focus on.

It is to be sure that the Gala group is going to be able to meet this goal, after all they have 1 800 retail outlets, as well as services such as online bingo that will be able to support this worthwhile charity.  The reach of this retail and online network should be able to ensure that they raise as much money as possible.

It never fails to surprise me just how generous the gaming and bingo community is when it comes to giving to charity. People have this misconception that gaming, whether online or land based is a business of shady characters who are only out to enrich them-selves.
