Lancashire Pensioner Couldn’t Believe Her Luck

It might appear to be very little to you, considering some of the huge amounts in bingo wins that we regularly report on in this small space. But any win, regardless of the size of the prize, is a “WIN” in my eyes, and one Lancashire pensioner could hardly believe it when she recently won £500 from the Lancashire Telegraph, by merely filling in a free bingo ticket that was on offer in the newspaper.

The seventy-four year old retired grocery shop owner from Blackburn, Freda Anderson, said that she hardly gave it a thought; she just filled out the ticket to pass the time, followed the instructions and forgot about it. She was really surpised and excited when the newspaper called her to tell her how much her bingo ticket had won.

Although her bingo win started off as jus a pleasant way to pass the time, she is now planning to use the money for her and her seventy-five year old husband to go on a mini cruise. So it just goes to show that one should never pass up the opportunity to fill in a free bingo ticket to win a prize, even if it is only to pass the time, it might just help to assist you to spend an even more pleasant time.
