Mecca Bingo Caller Wants to Break Guinness Valentines Record

A Mecca Bingo caller, Darren Chaffney, who works at the Mecca Bingo in Hartlepool, is out to try to create a new world record for receiving valentines cards, he is hoping that the hundreds of lady fans he has at the bingo club will help him set this record.

Mecca Bingo has contacted the Guinness Book of Records who currently do not have a Record for the most amount of Valentines cards received on the day and have applied for a new entry.

In order to encourage people to send the Valentines card to Darren, Mecca Bingo is going to donate cash for every card received to the Butterwick Hospice in Stockton.

Darren says that he was roped into this bid for a world record because he is the outgoing one, he is hoping to receive more than one, and will be really happy if it is in the thousands because that way they will be able to make quite a heft donation to their charity of choice.

Darren would really like the first card to come from his girlfriend who he met at the bingo. All cards can be addressed to Darren at Mecca Bingo, The Lanyard, Warrior Retail Park, Hartlepool , Cleveland, TS24 OXS.
