Newcastle Winner Scoops £50,000 Playing Bingo

A Grandmother from Sunderland who was playing at the Mecca Bingo club in Holmeside, shared a £100,000 UK National Bingo jackpot with a gentleman player from Kettering when they both called bingo on full house after forty–one calls.

She is a catering worker and has a son and a daughter as well as four grandchildren. She says that she tried to call her husband but her mobile battery was dead, so she had to ask the manager of the club to call him for her

She said that she just couldn’t believe how much she had won and she really thought that she was going to faint when they announced the amount of her win, she is finally able to get her head around the thought that she won so much money at playing bingo. She says that it was by mere chance that she even went to play bingo on the evening of her win, as they were short staffed at her work and she was thinking of staying on to work late.

Her bingo win is a double celebration for her as she is going to be turning fifty two next week and with an extra £50 000 in her pocket, she is planning to treat her children and her husband. She has been playing bingo for about five years and plays four or five times per month.
