The Irish gaming company, Paddy Power, has re-launched Paddy Power Bingo under a standalone licence arrangement with Parlay Entertainment Inc. Parlay is considered worldwide to be the leading supplier of software for online bingo. Paddy Power was previously operated as part of a network powered by Parlay.

Due to the solid growth that Paddy Power Bingo has experienced since their launch a little over one year ago, the company has realized that these encouraging growth figures have shown that online bingo definitely compliments their present entertainment portfolio, and as a result of this decided to change the network system to that of a standalone model in order to enjoy the control and flexibility of the standalone model.

Generally speaking both solutions, that is, Network and standalone, are suitable business models for online bingo operators but as the online bingo industry is maturing, many of the larger operators are choosing to take the standalone route as the network solution tends towards an incubatory environment.
