Sceptre Leisure Float on the Stock Exchange
It has just been announced that Sceptre Leisure have floated their Lancashire based gaming company on the Stock Exchange and the group opened up with a share price of 77p per share, which in turn gave their company a market value of £2.253 million pounds. Chief executive of Spectre Leisure, Ken Turner said, “The gaming group was on target to meet its financial targets after completing a reverse takeover of Gaming king, which provides money-spinning games for charities.”
Two games that were inherited from the takeover of Gaming King, Kelly’s eye bingo game and the lottery king will now be run by Tony Yates and Brian Nicolas. Mr Turner will himself over see the entire operation also went on to say, “Shareholders voted almost unanimously” in favour of the takeover by Orb Holdings, who are the parent company of Sceptre.
As we know the financial market is far from stable at the moment with some unprecedented scenes taking place over the past few weeks, particularly in America, but Mr Turner said, “It was quite a strange day to pick to start our flotation, but we and our investors are in this for the long haul so we will not let that put us off. We are moving forward nicely and are in line to meet all our financial forecasts at the moment. I think it is great news that we have another company listed on the stock exchange here in Lancashire. The vote was in favour of the takeover by a massive majority and I think people are just excited to see what happens now.”
Sceptre Leisure is already the third largest operator of amusement, gaming and leisure equipment in the UK and their empire has just expanded once more. The bring with them one of the most experienced teams in the gaming industry and their company has grown successfully since 1998, even though the land based gaming industry on a whole have been facing some very turbulent times of late, but unlike the land based bingo industry other sectors of gaming do not have that ridiculous double taxation law placed upon them.
