Second Bingo Win For Pontypool Pensioner

2008 is proving to be a very lucky year for a seventy-seven year old pensioner, her first win cam in January, when she won £1,000, then a few months later she caught the big fish, she won more than £26,000 while playing bingo at her local Mecca Bingo Club in Monmouth Walk, Cwmbran.

Both wins took place at the same club. She has been a fan of bingo since 1961, when she first started playing the game at a small bingo club that was near to her home.

The lucky winner, who has been married for fifty-nine years plays bingo four times a week, her big win consists of £25,000 in the National Game, £1,753 for the Regional prize and an £89 house prize. She said that she is still feeling a little numb over her luck, but it is really great.

Her two children and seven grandchildren will benefit from her win as she is planning to share some of her bingo winnings with them. She doesn’t know what else to do with the money as there is not much that they need, although they have never had much money, she thinks that they will just put the money away for their old age.
