Tombola Bingo TV Advert!

Since parting company with Sun Bingo, Tombola Bingo who were basically the silent operator behind the Sun Bingo, have stepped up their marketing campaign and they are currently running a huge TV, radio and press initiative. The JDA agency was picked to get Tombola Bingo out there in the lime light so to speak and from what I have seen of they have done a great job.

I really quite liked the Tombola Bingo TV advert and it was quite a refreshing change than the usual kind of online bingo advert I have seen aired on the TV lately. Dan James, who is the JDA creative director, explained that their agency wanted to create a campaign that was unique and didn’t rely on the safe territory of bingo stereotypes. He said: “To their credit, the guys at tombola got right behind our creative approach and pushed us to deliver something that’s a million miles away from the stereotypical ‘bored housewife’ bingo ad.”

It has been reported that the Tombola Bingo adverts were devised by JDA creative heads Dan James and Chris Lines and they were directed by Dave Mills of The Gate Films. A marketing spokesperson for tombola also went on to say, “We believe that our emphasis on low cost multi-player games, as well as the community spirit within the chat rooms, has helped us reach a significant share of the market. We are hopeful that many more players will want to experience this unique set up at tombola.”

If you have not yet seen the Tombola Bingo TV advert then you could always have a look on UTube as you will find it listed here, but I can tell you it is based around the colours of their bingo site and you are taken on a Tombola Bingo rollercoaster ride with a real catchy tune. I think the voice over at the end of the ad is that of Denise Van Outen, but of course I could be wrong, so if you think you know who it is then share it with the rest of us by leaving a comment as it would be interesting to find out just who is the voice behind the scenes.
