In a research survey carried out by bingo hosting company St. Minver, to determine if men were online bingo players and if they like to play bingo online for free. It was found that men often use female pseudonyms when playing online bingo, some of the favourite names used are Alexis, Rachel and Zoe.

Interestingly, men do have the perception that bingo is a game played only by ladies and this is why they hide their masculine identities when playing online bingo.

According to a spokesman of the company that conducted the bingo research survey, they were not surprised to discover that when playing online bingo, men prefer to impersonate women, even though they love the game and regularly like to play. One can only wonder what kind of discussions go on in the chat rooms.

It was also found that online bingo playing men like to use the names of foods as their user name and choose names such as Pringles, poppadom, steak, crispy and Pepsi. Other favourites among the men are the names of film actors or characters in films, particularly casino characters as they believe this will bring them luck. Bond007, Damon and Luckyjackson are amongst the favourites.
