William Hill Bingo on the TV

I don’t watch a great deal of TV but the times I have put TV on this week I have been greeted with William Hills online bingo TV advert in many of the commercial breaks on ITV1. William Hill Bingo had one of their TV Bingo adverts shelved by the (ASA) a few months ago, after they deemed it (socially irresponsible) as the advert portrayed a lady trying to hide her online bingo gaming from her Husband, as she put the clock forwards in the kitchen to try and get him out to work quicker because she wanted to play bingo without him knowing about it.

William Hill Bingo countered what was said about their advert, as the way they saw it was that the lady just wanted to get on with her day once her husband had gone to work and that it was a humorous advert that portrayed an everyday scenario. I could see both sides of the argument on this one to be honest, but at least it was a well made advert unlike some of the other TV bingo adverts I have see in recent months.
