Have doubt? See for yourself. A grandma of 64 years has been playing Bingo regularly in a nearby land Bingo hall – in Basildon. The local Gala Bingo Club, where she has been visiting continuously for 14 years from 1994, did make it a fortune for her.
The British lady wishes to remain anonymous for reasons obvious. She won the windfall prize money by playing Platinum Jackpot in National Bingo game, which is being played throughout the United Kingdom and has a bulging kitty of prize money every week. When she was confronted for comments by the media, she went to dizzy heights of joy saying that she has been making regular visits to Gala Bingo Club every week and she has never had the luck to win such a fabulous prize, other than that of winning £10 or £20 at times.
She called in her life-partner from home to the Bingo club, after she ascertained as to the exact amount of her winning. The club staff was told to be careful in breaking the news to her partner, as the gentleman has some heart problems. Accordingly the shocking (!) pleasant surprise was revealed to him slowly so as not to jolt him.
There is another sideline story to this. The lucky grandma revealed that it was in the Gala Bingo club that she met her present life partner three years back, to come to companionship with him, after spending nine long years in seclusion as a widow.
The moral of the story is if you are persistent with your efforts in playing Bingo continuously, you are in for a fair chance of winning a sizeable prize money to knock you off pleasantly. It has been proved once again that age is no bar for playing Bingo games; nor gender is a detriment; and U.K. Bingo Industry owes its present growth to the unabated patronage from the British women folk.
