William Hill want to Compete with 888 Holdings

Gaming operator William Hill had been in talks with Probability (the name behind Lady Luck)to secure a deal which could have put them in better standing to rival the likes of 888 Holdings, the name behind 888 Ladies Bingo and Wink Bingo to name just a few.

The talks between Probability and William Hill have reportedly fallen through after they themselves walked away from discussion with this Gibraltar based firm.

William Hill have been prolific in the online gaming arena for many years, but their offerings nowhere near stake up to those 888 Holdings. In every single department they fall flat. Bingo, Casino, Poker whatever area you look at 888 tops them and in terms of bingo there really is no contest at all.

Let’s just say, there is William Hill and then there is 888 a far superior bingo gaming brand.

William Hill apparently gave no reason for the breakdown in talks with Probability, but it is thought (Playtech) who own a 21% stake in its online arm were not convinced this was the right deal for them.

Gaming companies look to boost their presence in the online marketplace all the time. Ladbrokes have been on the lookout to just that as well, but talks between them and sportingbet also fell through.

When 888 Holdings went looking though they landed on their feet with the acquisition of Daub Ltd, the name behind Wink Bingo and co.

Wink Bingo made a great name for itself from day dot of launching on the net and they just never looked back. They went on to add quite a few sister sites to their fleet including Tasty Bingo, Red Bus Bingo and the all new Bingo Street. Plus they re-branded Posh Bingo as a standalone site and kept Bingo Fabulous on the globalcom network.

Wink Bingo set out to take on the likes of Foxy Bingo and the certainly did just that.
