Bingo Prize Winning Pensioner Wins Twice in One Week

May 15, 2008

Seventy-four year old Letitia Wilson, a pensioner who is a regular bingo player at her local Carlton Club, won twice in one week. The lucky lady first won ₤500 pounds on Sunday and on her return to the bingo club on Wednesday, caught the National Bingo prize jackpot of more than ₤32,500. She has been a member of the club since it opened and plays about three times a week.

It just does go to show that lightening can strike in the same place twice. She said that she usually comes to the bingo club a few times a week to meet up with old work colleagues and have a coffee and is not normally lucky; she just considers bingo to be a form of entertainment. She couldn’t believe how much money she had won and is thinking about using some of the money to visit her sister in Australia who is also a big bingo fan.

The bingo club manager happened to be calling the National game that day and said that it was really nice to see Lettie take home a big prize, especially because she is a regular the club who doesn’t win very often.
