First Mecca Million Winner Still Playing Bingo

For over thirty years the winner of the first Mecca Bingo Million pound game, Margaret Shearer, who just by the way is the first bingo player in Scotland to ever win one million pounds, has been playing bingo about four times per week. Nothing has changed, despite her huge win, Margaret still plays bingo every second day, usually on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday; pretty remarkable isn’t it!
Margaret’s win does not seem to have made the slightest difference to her lifestyle to day and so far the only purchase that she has made with her bingo winnings is a Jacket that was on sale at Debenhams. Her and her partner have been looking at some properties in the £300,000 range, but haven’t rushed into making any decisions on that as yet and are still living in their council flat in Glasgow east.
Margaret says that she would really like her son to purchase a property with the proceeds of her bingo win, but that he had not yet been in a position to take any time of work to look around with them. They have also had a look at some cars, but were not terribly impressed with what they saw. She said, when she won the money that she would not let it change her, and it seems that she really meant it!
