Having spent some time researching bingo news and all sorts of other bits and pieces about bingo, I thought that it might be fun to share a few interesting facts about bingo with you, for instance, did you know that:
- You are far more likely to win £100,000 on the National bingo than the UK lottery; 13% times more likely. The National bingo prize has to be won on the night and cannot be carried over.
- Women with the name of Margaret, and men with the name of Joe, win more on bingo than people with any other name.
- Of Gala bingo players in the last three months, eight out of ten have won!
- In the UK, bingo is the most preferred group leisure pursuit.
- In total, the amount of money being placed on bingo is in excess of £1 billion including gaming machines.
- Members of a bingo club have to be over 18 but the membership is free.
- In the United Kingdom, more 20,000 people are employed by the Bingo industry.
- There are more than three million people in the United Kingdom that regularly play bingo, regularly imply at least 2–3 times per week.
