This is not the first time that a bingo winner from Skimpot Road in Luton has been a winner in the National Bingo, the seventy year old, old aged pensioner has been playing bingo at the Mecca Club in Skimpot Road for a very long time, and is a veteran bingo player who has been playing for more than forty years.
What is interesting to note is that it was the first time in seven months that she had played at the Mecca Bingo Club. She obviously made a wise choice, because when she won, she caught a worthwhile jackpot.
The lucky Great Gran won her bingo prize in the Afternoon Delight game, winning the National prize of ₤9 690 together with the regional of ₤1 076 and a house prize to the value of ₤56 after having completed a full house in forty-two calls. The winner was quoted as saying that she had “never had this much money in her life” and had expressed that she has no idea whatsoever what she was going to do with it.
She said that holidays don’t appeal to her, she likes her own bed, but she was determined to treat her family of nine children and twenty grandchildren. Unfortunately she cannot treat her husband as he is no longer with us.
