Mega Bingo Win for UK Pensioner

I love reading news of Bingo winners; it makes me feel all warm inside. Just such a winner is a 79 year old pensioner who was playing bingo in Wandsworth on the 9th September, at the Mecca Bingo Club.

The winner, from Putney, who quite understandably does not want to be named, is an avid bingo player who has been playing the game for many years, was really shocked by the win, as I would also have been! The prize was for £100 000. She got such a shock that it did not even register with her that she had won until the following day!

The pensioner says that Mecca Bingo has been an exceptionally lucky bingo club for her, because she won £1000 about 6 months ago and £3000 two years previously. But the real surprise was this huge prize. Everyone in the club was so excited that they were jumping up and down, while she just sat there in stunned silence.

She completed a full house in just 41 numbers which was the lowest call in all the 500 games being played nationwide, and she also took the house prize of £315. The woman who is a widow, says that she is going to treat her family with her winnings and that she normally she plays bingo about 5 times per week, but from now on she is going to play daily, I wonder if she could be considered a “problem gambler?”
