Pensioner Put Family First After Bingo Win

A seventy nine year old pensioner, Ada Borrowdale, intends to put her family first after winning ₤27,000 while playing bingo. She won the jackpot at the Opera Bingo Club in Penrith and is planning to use the money to take a nice holiday in Benidorm or Tenerife, but only after she has helped her family, if there is any left. First her family will receive any help she can give them She has a very large family, with eight children, thirteen grandchildren and another eight great-grandchildren. Perhaps she can give the younger members of the family a bit of money to play online bingo!

Ada said that winning such a huge amount of money has not really sunk in yet and she has never in her life had that amount of money. Ad is really luck that she has good friends too, because when her last number was called she couldn’t shout bingo and her friend shouted on her behalf. Ada’s husband died twenty three years ago and since that time, she has had to rely on her relatives to help her. When she told them how much she had won, they didn’t believe her. She also said that she has a fantastic family and they have all been very good to her.

I think that this little story speaks volumes about the kind of people in the UK who play bingo. In the majority they are all caring and sharing people and Ada is no exception. She recently lost her eighty one year old brother after nursing him for fifteen months though liver cancer. She said that he would have been more delighted than her with her lucky win and has people telling her that she deserves every penny of the bingo win, after all she has been through recently.
