Save the Trees, Play Electronic Bingo

I suppose that it would only be a matter of time before land based bingo was to become completely electronic. After all we are all playing online bingo already and completely electronically. Land based clubs are soon going to all be doing away with the old tradition of paper bingo tickets and bringing in electronic methods, in fact there is already one bingo club in London that has done exactly this.

Riva Gaming Group recently launched the opening of their newest fully electronic bingo club. The Riva Club in Sutton, South West London is making use of hand-held Terminals.

The hand-held terminals in the bingo club consist of 582 inside and 20 in the specifically smoking designated areas, allows customers to a far wider choice in terms of their bingo spend as well as offering them a far wider variety of games. Currently the Riva Bingo Club is the only one of its kind and is considered to be a pioneer in modenizing the game. Riva is hoping that this new system will attract a new kind of bingo audience.

I suppose that it is only a matter of time before the other big bingo brand names follow suit and also go completely electronic, I must comment that in a little way I am sad to see the old paper ticket system go, but there is the thought to be borne in mind that the less paper is used the better off the trees will fare. Perhaps it will even have an impact on global warming!
